Lindsay Park

Artist biography

I am a contemporary jewellery artist based in Wellington, New Zealand.

My work explores diverse themes of New Zealand nature and popular culture in a way that is uniquely mine.

My art jewellery is shown at public and private galleries around New Zealand and abroad. I welcome commissioned works, and work from an inspiring studio in Roseneath, above Wellington’s harbour.

While attending polytechnic I was awarded the Block Memorial Award for Jewellery Design and the Merit Award for the Friends of the Dowse Design Award 2004.

The Red Butterfly Necklace, from my Going, going... gone series, received the People’s Choice Contemporary Jewellery Award at the National Jewellery Showcase 2007.

This work follows from my successful previous series based on the caravan as part of exploring our cultural heritage.
